Accepted with conditions
- Refrigerators, freezers, AC units — routed to a qualified recycling facility that handles refrigerant.
- Hot tubs — drained and disconnected only. Usually Class B+ pricing.
- Construction debris — post-job cleanup only, not active demolition.
- Mattresses — condition affects donation versus disposal route.
- TVs, monitors, computers, printers, and small electronics — photo review required before dispatch. Some electronics carry special disposal requirements or facility fees. JDOT will confirm whether the item can be accepted before quoting.

Tires
JDOT does not haul tires. Tires require specific disposal channels and are outside current department scope.
TVs and electronics
TVs, monitors, computers, printers, and small electronics require photo review before dispatch. Some electronics may carry special disposal requirements or facility fees. JDOT will confirm whether the item can be accepted before quoting.
Refrigerator, freezer, and AC unit handling
Refrigerators, freezers, and AC units are routed to a qualified recycling facility that handles refrigerant. JDOT does not dump refrigerant appliances illegally.
Disposal fees
Standard disposal and routing costs are built into the flat-rate quote. If an item requires special handling, restricted disposal, or a facility fee, JDOT identifies that before the job is accepted. No disposal surcharge is invented after the work begins.
Heavy and oversized items
Some items may move a dispatch into a higher class because of weight, access, disposal requirements, or crew safety. Examples include hot tubs, oversized sectionals, large appliances, dense renovation debris, and unusually heavy materials. Large volumes of concrete, brick, dirt, or masonry are usually better handled by a roll-off dumpster.
